In power hunter you well, hunt for powers. It’s a basic platformer and runs very smooth, and looks pretty good also; only thing missing is backgrounds really. (Art really is the hardest thing to do for an amateur developer, trust me!) The world is very well put together and changes nicely as you unlock more powers, it’s quite cool actually; reminds me of console platformers where you have to revisit areas after unlocking an item. Although Power Hunter doesn’t have that much in terms of play time( most should be able to beat the game within 10 minutes) the game does offer a few API highscoring options to increase the last ability, namely artifacts collected, and how long it took you to beat the game. I really like Power Hunter, it just has a great feel to it!
Graphics 8.5/10
Backgrounds are all it’s missing, everything else is awesome!
Gameplay 10/10
Gameplay is very awesome! The game runs great, and as I said above, has a great feel to it.
Sound 10/10
Music’s cool reminds me a bit of the old Power Rangers intro song, Chaos! ;-P A few sound effects would be nice though, but the awesome tunes make up for it.
Bug report 9/10
Only one little bug: it’s hard to get out of the one room where you go down and there’s a platform on top (if you have any idea what I’m talking about). But if you know how to wall jump you should be able to get out of it.
Scoring 10/10
Has every type of scoring you could hope for. And hopefully will get a DM1 pride game soon.
Overall 9.5/10 (Rate 5/5 on kong or die!)
It’s a nice game, missing a few sound effects and a bigger world, and maybe a use for that gun of yours. Overall I really like it. And if you take out rating, is probably the second best game made by a DM1 member (the first being Drunken Masters). Good work Chaos!
